Friendly with great people who you can barter with. These are all small mom and pop shops, so they want to make a deal. Even if you arent looking for anything, stop by, you'll enjoy the experience

Pattaya central mall. Quite a few shops in there. Food and shopping with aircon. Great way to stay out of the heat.
