Step 1: Get affidavit from your embassy in Bangkok (1-3 days)
Step 2: Translate & certify at Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bangkok
Step 3: Register marriage at local Amphur (District Office) in Pattaya
Step 4: Receive Thai marriage certificate (same day)
Cost: ~205 THB for registration + translation/certification fees (~2,000-5,000 THB total)
A ceremony alone is NOT legally binding. You must register at the Amphur. Most wedding planners can assist with paperwork for an additional 5,000-15,000 THB.
